The Problem Is the Voting Industry
The voting industry itself is very you have a couple big players, and they tend to get smaller overtime. Some election companies offer like tey'll say, while we give you a receipt. But when you look at the cryptography, it doesn't actually trace all the way to your vote. It goes through some central trusted party, and the trusted party just kind of moves things around. So i think what's happenind is, companies have kind of given the veneer of being cryptographically verifiable. They don't really have an incentive to change unless competitors start offering it.
