Conlangery #34: Gender and Noun Classes

Conlangery Podcast

CHAPTER

The Importance of Intransitive Coding

Conlanger: grammar is born hungry once you've got a gender or class system it might be grabbed to do other things. For example one of the Bantu noun classes is used to create infinitives and it has no plural. It's an obvious ergative patterning right yeah I was distracted when you said that in the first place so yeah sorry you could talk about the exotic uh I think exotic most of it. If anybody has examples of something that's higher up on the amacy hierarchy but it's marked as inanimate please email conlanger at gmail.com there we go where you can email any correction that you want.
