The Importance of Science Journalism
I wanted to become a beauty editor. I also wanted to interview celebrities because I thought that would make me cool. So I then studied genetics and I was working in a laboratory doing very badly as I have no skill for laboratory work. And suddenly these two things, my love of storytelling and science came together. And then I knew, I was like, I was so happy and I knew that that was it. We all want to know truths about ourselves, about the world and how we work. Science just does it in a way that I found really fascinating.
