Why Do We Get Motivated by Fear?

Fear motivates so much of our lives. Fear, fear of not getting what we want, fear of being alone. We're either motivated by fear or love. When i'm afraid, the focal point is always me. To alleviate the fear, i have to control or manipulate the world. And that leaves me constantly feeling anxious and constt feel o how easily you hurt or harm me when you toll. One of those fears r where i can be motivated by love, which is christ centred, and then other centred. It might be too extreme. I think i haven't thought about it enough, so i don't know.
