Roller Derby Is a Full Contact Sport

Roller derby is a full contact sport play on roller skates and quad skates to be specific. It's played on an oval track which can be banked so like sloped or more commonly it's playing on a flat track now. There are two 30 minute periods in about and each period is broken up into two minute units called jams. The team with the most points at the end of the game or bout wins each that's simpleEach team fields a point scoring skater called a jammer whose objective is to lap as many of the opposing skaters as they can. They work both offensively and defensively simultaneously to block the opposing jammer and to clear a path for their own jam
