The crows chose to side with the united states against other tribes such as the lacota and chayen in he 18 sixtys, 18 seventies. From a certain viewpoint, it's easy to see the crows as sell out, because they betrayed some kind of native brotherhood. The reality was that their situation made it impossible to make a great play, given that they held such terrible cards in their hands. They were only awful plays, and some even worse. So arguing on whether it's better to be in the frying pan or into the fire, that was essentially what the choices at the crows had back dond wwat they did.
