When you're running in cushioned shoes, is it as protective as it should be? Most elite runners are midfoot and heel foot. I thought they were mostly on their forefoot, but not forefoot. There's a trade-off that the body's trying to find an answer to. We got minimalist shoes because we wanted to see if over eight weeks people would change their biomechanics sufficiently so that they'd look different to initially.
