The Culture of Nationalism in the Netherlands
Having lived in the Netherlands for a year, I can tell you that it is really, like, wild how much they, like, Dutch language ability is pushed. Even though every, like, 98% of people are completely fluent in English as well. There's a real strong, kind of, like, cultural nationalist push towards, like, you need to learn Dutch and integrate into Dutch society through learning our language. For some people, like, the right-wing politicians, like, gert-builders and so on, it explicitly is very much astrong nationalist position.
