QCD quantum chromodynamics is basically the physics of strong interaction yeah we understand we now would understand which I think most physicists would say it's the theory of quarks and gluons and how they interact. The story that emerges from QCD is that very similar to the way that clouds of electrons held together by electrical forces give you molecules protons and neutrons are like atoms made now out of quarks quark clouds held together by gluons who then will give the electric forces that this is giving a different force the strong force.
