The conference is trying to do a lot of things right now that are focused on ecclesiality and things connected to ecclesial life. But it's like when you walked in, you kind of felt goofy because it was so transparently obvious. The bishops used to say that long vertical tables and now they say that circle tables because it's supposed to make them feel more like friends. It did not shut all the decks for people to become friends with people they weren't friends with before.
