What Are the Building Codes?
After the earthquake in 1999, building codes were updated. There were supposed to be more earthquake resistant rules when it comes to building these huge apartment blocks that you're seeing. We know that as this crisis continues to stretch on, the likelihood of finding people alive is growing more and more dim. But the search and the hope as we heard from that Turkish resident remains.
