The Problem of the Stellarator Is a Real Showstopper
I'm working on some very basic conceptual operating points at the moment, but they're completely from a very narrow scope. At this point, if you start building tomorrow, I would say I need to do a proper engineering feasibility study and conceptual design for all of those things. Turpilence itself is a complicated phenomenon that involves nonlinear equations. Even the equations where we make simplifications are still very complicated and need to be solved on computers. There's a real showstopper that we definitely need to be addressing also because this device where I'm sitting now has retired some of those.
