Yahweh finally speaks—and it’s not what Job expected. Instead of answering Job’s accusations about justice, God responds with a whirlwind tour of the cosmos. • In ancient thought, chaos was divided into three categories: order, non-order, and disorder
• Job and his friends assumed all suffering (non-order) must be the result of sin (disorder)
• God flips this by revealing that non-order can still be governed by His wisdom and intention
• The friends’ rigid retribution framework collapses under the weight of God’s complexity
