The goal is to keep people ignorant of circumstances that you didn't teach them or you don't want them to believe. The second one is to create a fear of some other right or maintain the fear of another so we talk about trans kids now but it used to be LGBTQ people, gay marriage was this big boogeyman that was going to wreck marriage for everybody in America. People who want to ban books typically don't read those books. I'm fully with all of these conservatives who say parents should be involved in this a hundred percent supportive of that. But you be the one who controls what your child reads not the state, not the public library and save us from such a small government
