Robert E. Lee's military advisor instructs Stonewall to keep Union General Ervin McDowell too busy to reinforce George McClellan. "I mean talk about a huge risk, Stonewall has a mere 17,000 men to do this," says VMI professor who wrote the story. Instead of heading east, he instead loads his men on trains at Charlottesville and they all head back toward Staunton.
