The Different Types of Vaccines

The vaccination principle is to mimic or masquerade as the actual disease causing organism. The four main classes of vaccines that are available now are live attenuated, inactivated, killed and subunit vaccine. These components have to do a pretty effective job at mimicking that so that we mount an appropriate immune response.
