Is Elijah From the Northern Kingdom?

I remember reading somewhere that judah was a more rural kingdom, and the northern kingdom israel was more cosmopolitan. I think we don't have a whole lot of information to know for sure in detail, but that's certainly what the clues seem like. You had samaria became kind of a big cosmopolitan city. In the northern kingdom, they did things like invited foreign rulers and made feasts with them and married their sisters or daughters,. And you had like ahab marrying jezebel, who was from phoenicia, you know, a canaanite from further north. So there's this long, kind of repeating clash and tug of war between these two different senses
