The Importance of Looking in the Mirror
The poem is about like being queer and a gender, not normal person looking at yourself in a mirror. There's something curious about running to a bathroom mirror when your nerve fails you. Looking in a mirror is it's both the most, can be the most reassuring and intimately reassuring thing because what's more familiar to you than your face?
