In physics, there's no like new dimension that all the sudden particles figure out in their path integral changes. However, that happens in the economy all the time. And I suppose it's just that the laws of commerce and economy are manmade and subjective to a certain extent or not. Or rather, I suppose there's some chance the laws of physics are manmade or consciousness made. The surprise is a fundamental element of knowledge creation - underneath there are no surprises.
