Tonight we're reading a book with some relevance to a holiday in the United States this week. We're relaxing with pyrotechnics, the history and art of firework making by Alan St. Hill Brock,. First published in 1922 by Daniel O'Connor, 90 Great Russell Street, WC-1 London. Is there anything inherently comic about fireworks? It is true that for a short season, the less critical of the comic papers used the cracker and squib as pegs upon which to hang the type of joke.
