Lincoln's Defamation of the Slavery Movement

Lincoln was born into a slave holding state, whose relatives owned slaves. He married a woman from a slaveholding family and his own parents were against slavery. Even so, even in spite of being around all this slaveholding, i'm naturally anti-slavery. That was the easy part. The harder part was to reconcile that truth with a instituation that endorsed slavery,. enshrined it, even implicitly. This is what we're talking about here. It's his father and his grandfather. And so for l Lincoln, who knew how deeply rooted prejudice was, did not even have a clear idea of what point c should look like.
