Solar Degnin - How to Cool the Earth
Stratospheric aerosol uninering is an idea that would mimic the cooling effect of major volcanic eruptions. We emit quite a lot of sulphur dioxide, and it has quite cooling effect. The costs are something of the order of ten billion, tens of billions of dollars per year to fully offset future warming. But we can be fairly sure, or we can be pretty sure, that it will offset most temperature changes in mosta and many risks of climate change are correlated with temperature.
