Ruth Bader: Poetry is a place where I came to unshackle myself. In poetry we break the rules in order not to adhere to any social conventions, she says. Ruth's book gathers its charge from reading it is that you go from the confessional to lyrical and these changes are that there is something molten about it right? She also talks about how her own sexuality has been enacted into her work. The poet was inspired by Martin Luther King when she was nine-years-old.
