If we thought that the sources of our dis sfaction in problems were complex or insurmountable, we could not have any hope that innovation would solve them. By praising novelty and newness everywhere, we've actually lowered the stakes of innovation. And transformed the concept from representing something truly transformative to instead being a never ending collection of piecemeal responses to particular dissatisfactions. In a way, then the age of ation has come to an end.
