The Importance of Beats in Pop Music

For me, it almost doesn't matter what the content is for a casual music listener like myself. You don't respond as much to the lyrics and the content as the feel and the beat. I think there's a point in all of that. But for me personally, I think I always just come back to, do I like do I like to beat? Do I like the rhythm? Do Ilike the sound? Yeah. If you're freaking it and it's a good beat, I'm like, yo, that's my song right there.
