How to Negotiate a Pay Cut or Furlough

Lee: If he's asked to take a pay cut or do a furlough, should he bring up the fact that he's essentially already foregone some pay by not getting the raise that he was promised? Lee: I completely agree. We want this letter writer to get over his feelings of betrayal and really get the boss on side. So why not have a fact finding discussion with his executive director? That way, when the pay cut comes, when the furloughs come, he will have maybe had that conversation.
