The movie is the movies enjoyable now, because it is an artifect of the nineties. For 30 years, like, since it released, they've been denying the fact that anything represented in that movie was accurate to the mushroom kingdom. I spoke with the art director of this movie for a piece that i ended u not do, because somebody else did a oral history around the exact same time. But he kind of told me about how this movie became a disaster. The script started out as kind of, like a serious drama, like thats whe got bob hoshkins excited.
