The mean arterial pressure is in a way the average pressure you're going to find in your arterial system. It's around about 90 to 95 millimeters of mercury. The bigger vessels have heaps of elastic tissue so they can recall and stretch. Arterials, which are the smallest arteries, don't have much elastic tissue, but they got huge amounts of smooth muscle in them. So if your blood pressure goes up, your arterials need to respond to try and drop it a little bit. And if your blood Pressure goes down, yourarterials need to responds to increase it. Yeah.
