What Is the Problem With Calorie Counting?

Logan: I think one of the most brilliant marketing decisions that's ever happened in exercise has been the calorie count. We aren't good at estimating our metabolic rate or basically our resting metabolic rate what our fundamental calorie expenditure through a day should be and we also probably over consume through a series of hours through the day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is fundamentally there because it's a meal before you start work, a break during work and a meal after work. It's not an evolutionary thing that you should have three meals per day. So there's a lot happening there with how we look at calorie expenditure and how we assess calorie expenditure that's flawed.
