Try trying to continually make it clear what your key claims are so don't just say a lot of stuff. If if you're thoroughly covering a topic then it's probably going to be like 20 pages or something. It's good that you say the 20 pages of stuff but make it clear to me which of the which which sentences in there are really the key bits.
