Gregory and the Bishop of Sasma

Gregory Nazianzis was Bishop of Constantinople in the 4th century. He wrote a funeral oration for Basil, who had died before the 381 Ecumenical Council of Constantinople. Gregory then found out that the bishops don't like him and he has to leave the council. One year later after the council of Constantinople, he's invited back for a follow-up synod and he writes in a letter, no good has ever been done by a synod of bishops.
