The Dopamine Prediction Error Hypothesis
The way we think learning happens has been this causal way in that, you know, something predicts the reward. But now they're saying actually the signal that the brain uses to learn the association is retroactive. It's a memory thing. You have to go back in time to say, well, what actually helped predict the reward. I mean, that's basically rewriting potentially how we think brain works.
