Do We Want a Productive Child or a Healthy Child?

The bulk of American culture believes like, well, a productive child is a healthy child. Acknowledging that is crucial because we are talking about a lack of tools. We're not very good at providing parents with the tools they need in the community to address the needs of their children. It's hard to determine when someone becomes adult enough.
