Is There a Difference Between Environmentalism and Deregulation?

The EPA was set up to protect people from the dangerous by products of industrial production processes. The environmental movement is now all about climate, which is this much more abstract concern. And so, you know, there's something here about the regulatory state being confronted again with the original and very immediate dangers that it was designed to confront.
