Why You Shouldn't Ship Known Versions of Chromium
An electron app is not just the node JS runtime, it's also a modified version of chromium. If you as a developer don't keep up to date, that means that it's possible to discover which version of Chromium you shipped with your app. And all of the known exploits between right now and that version being released are theoretically leverageable against your app. There's something special about Rust as opposed to C++, these systems level languages.
