"Whenever you see race, you should think to yourself, it's racism that's been," he says. "Even in the most benevolent way possible." The fields say this is not a good practical guide for living because it would be 'dehumanizing' But there may be something to being dehumanized when interacting with other people as real people and treating them like humans.
