The Role of Cog Wheels in Parkinson's Disease

Cog wheel rigidity is a tremor superimposed on the typical smooth lead pipe rigidity. You can feel cog wheeling even in patients who don't have tremor. Parkinson's patients can have all of these types of tremor, but the most common that we see is a postural tremor. And this may be seen in the arm, in the leg, or sometimes in the jaw.
