The Role of Gaze in Conversation

The way we design a request can have huge implications on the likelihood of things being answered or not. The idea originally was that you just produce a first action that needs to be responded to in some way. And I, when I was a PhD student, I started looking at my data and I had a lot of two people in a room and somebody would look outside the window and just be like, it's raining and nothing else. So one of the things that I was interested in was, can you manipulate the pressure that you give to people in terms of wanting them to respond to what you're saying?
