Mimesis, Mimicry, Memesis - To Want What Nobody Wants
To mimic something is too act like it, to behave as it behaves. To want what somebody else wants is in a certain term, mimesis, mimicry, memes. This all comes from the Greek mimisade, which is to imitate. At some point you end up thinking this is you, but really we're just natural mimics.
