The Importance of Joy in Life
In the Old Testament, there are so many stories of people who recognize that their sickness is tied to sin. Now it doesn't have to be necessarily tied to my own sin. Not necessarily like a one to one ratio where if you've done something wrong, now you're sick to that proportion. That's not how it works. At the same time, we recognize that because of sin, the world is now broken because of sin,. Our relationships with God, our relationship with each other, with the world, with ourselves, that's out of order. And what happens is that we realize that we stand before the Lord in need.
