Both Qantas and Singapore airlines grounded at their A380 fleets because they all use the same engines. The plane in this accident did not return to service until April 2012, however, due to damage it had suffered. On June 22, 2011, Qantas announced it had agreed to compensation of $95 million Australian dollars from Rolls Royce.
