"I'm not looking forward to the end of privacy but I'm just trying to make sure that we focus on the right part of this debate," he says. "It's increasingly a case now that basically motivated others can reveal very intimate traits of ours." In 20 years' time, quantum computing means encryption will be easily breakable by a motivated third party,. He adds: The sooner we stop talking about the legalization of tornadoes and start talking about how to make sure our society is ready for the tornado of the end ofprivacy...the better, safer and more pleasant our future will be".
