The Chinese Communist Party's Control of the National Government

The Chinese Communist Party has real, I mean, it doesn't necessarily have real control, it uses real repression against elites still. The central government has also increasingly realized that like trade unions can be useful and trying to kind of corral and control these provincial governors. There are probably people in in the Chinese Communist Party who have a kind of egalitarian nationalist sensibility that they're not willing to give up their wealth.
