A six-part mini-series titled The Disappearance of Natalie Holloway aired on the Oxygen channel in August 2016. Beth Holloway filed a federal lawsuit against the show's producers, alleging that it was fake and scripted. She sought $20 million in compensatory damages and $30 million in punitive damages for their actions which she claimed destroyed her. John Ludwig attempted to kidnap his ex-roommate Emily before he died from stab wounds suffered during a struggle with police. On Monday, April 16, Emily appeared on the Doctor Field Show where she denied ever knowing anything about what had happened at all.
