Gordon Liddy and his team of burglars break into the watergate hotel in New York. They install listening devices on office phones, but they fail to pick up any real intelligence. Two weeks later liddy sits down with Nixon's deputy campaign manager jed mc gruder. Magruder asks for another full break-in at the water gate. The operation is a flop; it will be back next week when Democrats start talking about their election strategy.
