A paper backs up the idea that the brain can expand to different, uh, things. That's why you can drive places and not even be aware of where you are. It leads credence to the idea that there can be cybernetic enhancements that extend natural capacity beyond it. And you can put a chip in your brain and eventually and probably be able to read people's thoughts.
