What Is the Hoplite Phalanx?
The term phalanx is first actually used by homer to describe a deep body of spearmen. The main troops fighting in this formation are hoplites with this panapole based on greek designs. By the time of fifth and fourth century b c, probably a corset of sheets of linen, glued together to form a very stiff shirt.
