I'm really passionate about not just the technology, machine learning technology, but also making them broadly available to the world. As you scale up the model, you get better capabilities, but at the same time, you get more control from the people who were working on these. Just like how decades ago there was open source operating systems and close source operating systems,. Now there are open source models and close source models. There needs to be that spectrum.
David Ha is the Head of Strategy at Stability AI, and one of the top minds working in AI today. He previously worked as a research scientist in the Brain team at Google. David is particularly interested in evolution and complex systems, and his research explores how intelligence may emerge from limited resource constraints.
