Colorblindness for All by Legal Fiat
The idea that the court has adhered to is that racial diversity helps everybody. So it's not about acknowledging systemic racism per se. It's about saying the white kids, the black kids, the Asian American kids, the Latino kids, they all benefit from a diverse student body. In that way, the affirmative action decisions almost remind me of the original decisions upholding abortion in the sense that Roe v. Wade was more about protecting doctors ability to perform medical procedures as it was in protecting women.
