The Importance of Resistance in Change
Teachers and students need each other, as much to the world of meditation and Buddhism, as it does to standard pedagogical environments. The ability to navigate resistance really is key to one's ability to move beyond habitual patterns. For this to be possible, one must be teachable or capable of becoming so. If you are genuinely attracted to the radical side of Buddhist ideas then inevitably you must be willing to come up against your own resistance.
